LUTEJ employs twenty Doctoral Candidates whose research areas include but are not limited to:

Foundation Law (A multi-disciplinary area of Law which does not exist in South Africa as yet but integrates all the above areas of Transactional Law): This research is intended to explore and address a lacuna in the Law regarding accountability of the entire “value chain” of Charitable Foundations that are established as philanthropic and/or altruistic vehicles and are operating in South Africa.
